Trelleborg launches new mobile app

“FireNut may seem like a simple product, but it can be critical in terms of fire protection. FireNut™ is a lightweight, easy-to- install alternative to the fire-insulated metal boxes used for the protection of bolted connections or flanges on offshore installations. The rubber-based fire protection sys- tem specifically protects just the nuts of a bolted connection or flange. In contrast to the traditional bulky metal boxes, the lightweight solution is customisable to accommodate almost any bolt size, and extends the service life in the event of a fire, being resistant to both jet fire and pool fire. To make it easier to specify FireNut, Trelleborg’s offshore operation has launched an app to calculate the correct FireNut a customer needs to suit their flange. Laser surface preparation range Fonon Corporation has announced the release of Flexion™ technology, to be incorporated into the CleanTech™ product line. Marketed under the Laser Photonics™ brand, CleanTech laser products are used for surface preparation, paint removal and surface cleaning. The newly released CleanTech systems offer a non-abrasive cleaning process that is safer and more eco-friendly.
