As a result of recent ASME Section I, VIII, B31.1 and B31.3 Code Case successes, Tungum Ltd has announced that USCG material approval has also now been granted for Tungum alloy tubing. The US Coast Guard noted that Tungum tubing (ASTM B706 TF00; UNS C69100) was approved by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) through Code Cases for use in Section I and Section VIII applications. The Coast Guard also noted that ASME has initiated work items to incorporate this material into the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes for use in both Section I and Section VIII applications. As a result of these actions by ASME, this material meets the requirements in Title 46 CFR 56.60-1 and may therefore be available for use in piping systems in this Part.

Tilted Disc, Swing-Flex, Surgebuster, Swing Check, Dual Disc, Silent Check and Foot Valves are designed for dependability, no matter the media, from potable water, to abrasive slurries and even corrosive chemicals. They are designed with expanded bodies and smooth flow paths to assure the lowest headloss for each valve type. Closing characteristics have been carefully engineered to minimise slamming potential.
