Fittings, pipes and tanks from Italy

Pipes and fittings can be supplied as loose items, as prefabricated spool pieces or with the following jointing methods: plain end pipes and fittings for butt and strap lamination; bell and spigot, with/without locking device, joints with double O-ring gaskets; sleeve coupling, double O-ring gaskets; tapered/tapered glued joint; flanged joint (any type of drilling is available). The company’s fittings, made by hand lay-up system, are available in any size and arrangement. The company has obtained the ISO 9001 quality system issued by DNV; specifically for marine applications, its products are approved and certified by important Class Societies such as CCS, RINa LR, ABS, NKK, DNV, BV and Germanischer Lloyd.

Tanks and vessels can be supplied with a maximum diameter of 4,500mm, and height or length up to 18m. Specially designed scrubbers and towers may be supplied for specific requirements. Tanks may be vertical or horizontal (with dome or flat bottoms) and may be used for above or under ground application. Any combination of manholes, flanges, instrumentation and accessories are available upon request. By using filament winding technology to ASTM D 2996 standard and by selecting the correct winding angle, the company can provide pipes with different mechanical properties (axial- hoop modulus of elasticity). For underground applications and low- pressure classes, the company also producesmortar pipes with high stiffness factors and low production costs.

NSguassero SpA, Italy, is amanufacturer of pipes, fittings and tanks, with over 50 years of experience in the field. The company’s products provide solutions to corrosion problems, and are generally used in applications such as chemical plants and industries; desalination plants; power stations (sea water cooling system and FGD systems); sewerage; seawater intakes and discharges; irrigation/water mains; and marine applications (on board commercial vessels). Pipes and fittings are available with a nominal diameter of 25 to 2,400mm and for different pressure classes (from atmospheric up to 25 bar). Pipes and fittings may be used above ground or underground, and are designed to meet the requirements of various working conditions (underground pipelines are designed to meet ANSI AWWA C 950 standards, M45 Manual or other standards on request).

For onshore applications, pipes are covered by KIWA-KOMO certificates.

Push-fit couplings for conservation projects Saint-Gobain Pipelines has introduced 75mm couplings and a new 6ft pipe to its Timesaver range of above and below ground drainage products, to complete the company’s Timesaver Heritage offer.

Timesaver was first launched more than 30 years ago for use on above ground soil and ventilating installations. In 1980, a below ground Timesaver system was introduced to complement the soil range. The new 75mm couplings are available in plain, eared and slip versions to be used with the standard Timesaver range for joining external soil pipes. Using the Heritage couplings, which are also available in 100mm and 50mm diameters, the Timesaver mechanical system is turned into a traditional socket appearance of yesteryear, as depicted in BS 416 part 1. By using the Timesaver push-fit couplings, waste is minimised and both installation time and costs are reduced, compared to the old traditional socket and spigot system that requires a cold caulking compound. Supplied in a black water-based coating, the Heritage couplings, which have been accepted by recognised bodies for all grade listed properties, can be easily overpainted for the external soil stacks. Because of the traditional appearance of Timesaver Heritage couplings, they are particularly popular with architects and specifiers working on conservation projects and owners of period property.
