Plastic pipes rerounders Ritmo SpA, a manufacturer of welding machines and tools for plastic pipes and sheets, has introduced three new products for the jobsite: rerounders for plastic pipes.

PU tubing polyvanced GmbH has developed a solution to the market demand for PU tubing that can stand up to UV radiation. According to sales director Matthias Strehl, the benefits of the UV protected PU tubing include increased product security and assured colour stability – both important advantages for outdoor applications. UV protected tubing is primarily used for outdoor applications that must withstand very high UV radiation levels. Typical of these are many marine and boatbuilding uses and a range of medical applications. For all long-term UV protection requirements polyvanced recommends using the colour black for all tubing material as a matter of principle. This has proved to be valuable advice, especially in the automotive industry.

The mechanical thread of these steel-made products helps to remodel the ends of ovalised pipes that need to be welded by electrofusion.

The manual clamping of the tool stems pushes the ovalised end until its reshaping meets the ovalisation range required by most standards, therefore allowing

its insertion into an electrical coupling – and avoiding the cost of eliminating a good pipe. The three rerounders cover different diameter ranges: 250- 400 model for OD from 250 to 400mm; 450-560 model for OD from 450 to 560mm; and 630-800 model for OD from 630 to 800mm. Each is sold separately, with a steel transport box.
