Longstanding experience in application tech meets sustainable lubricant development
TWO suppliers Budenheim and Bemers have announced that they are now working together. The cooperation combines the longstanding experience of Bemers in application and process technology and the development of additives for the production of seamless tubes based at Budenheim. From the market in particular, the requirement for a full-solution provider was becoming increasingly clear. Numerous customers asked for com- bined offers for application technology and the corresponding use of lubricants and descaling agents, to achieve signifi - cant advantages in the area of efficiency, for example during commissioning and service, as well as reducing operational costs and making a major contribution to pipe quality. This has been the origin for the idea for the cooperation. As of May 2021, Budenheim is ex- clusively offering its various application
and the corresponding spare parts. In addition, technical advice, training courses, production support and remote maintenance are also offered. The two companies are therefore taking a big step towards becoming a full-solution provider. Jointly designed by Bemers and Budenheim the systems will be engineered and produced by Bemers. In addition to the new system concept, Budenheim will also offer the machines of the current design by the Bemers to the market. The parties are convinced that the cooperation and combined offering meet a long-standing market need.
systems with a new common design on the market. The portfolio includes powder application systems for de- scaling, preparation units and spraying technology for mandrel bar lubricants, mandrel bar cooling for the push bench process, as well as special units, such as lubrication devices for piercing presses, pilger mandrels and diescher discs and application systems for pipe conservation. The offer is supplemented by the service of the company Bemers

Airmo Inc celebrates its 75 th anniversary AIRMO INC, amanufacturer of SelectForm ® tube end forming tools, is celebrating its 75 th anniversary this year. The precision machined, heat-treated tools provide a safe and precise means of forming the ends of tubes. The patented tools are designed to work with the SelectForm ® Hydraulic Power Unit to produce an exclusive shape with low surface marring. The tools can accurately form common tube shapes: end-expansions (bells), end-reductions, beads, flares, and other forms with the capability of forming tube diameters from 0.19" to 6" OD (4.7mm to 152.4mm OD). Many different materials can be formed including aluminium, carbon steel, copper, stainless steel and titanium. The user simply places the tool over the tube end and depresses the foot switch on the hydraulic power unit. The tool cycles automatically and produces the finished form in 2 to 5 seconds. End forming tools are available in hand-held single actuation models, or machine mounted multi-station systems. Themost important use of these tools in the tube and pipe industry
is for safe and efficient end forming of tubes or pipes in a high production environment. The tools also stand up to rigorous usage in harsh environments.
