Sikora presents innovative technologies at Fakuma 2021

down to a size of 50µm and highlights contamination in colour on the monitor image and in parallel via a projector on the sample carrier. Sikora also presented the Centerwave 6000, which is based on millimetre wave technology and measures the diameter, ovality, wall thickness, inner profile as well as sagging of the pipe. The measuring method does not require any coupling media or calibration and is free from influences such as temperature. As well as the X-RAY 6000 PRO, an X-ray based system that measures the wall thickness, eccentricity, inner and outer diameter and ovality of tubes and hoses from 0.65mm diameter was displayed. The thickness of up to three different material layers is measured. The diameter measuring systems, the Laser Series 2000 and 6000 were also available at the show.

MEASURING and control technology company Sikora presented its latest measuring technologies at the recent Fakuma, the international trade fair for plastics processing, which took place in Friedrichshafen, Germany in October. Sikora presented its measuring and control technologies for the tube, hose and pipe industry as well as online and offline systems for the inspection, sorting and analysis of plastic pellets. The company offered customers free live material tests from the Purity Concept V, which is used for offline laboratory testing and random sample inspection. Customers were invited to bring small pellet samples to the booth to have them tested. The automated light table inspects the test material placed on a sample tray within a few seconds by using a colour camera and evaluates the image recordings.
