shipped its first 33/50,000lb, four die in-line hydraulic push pointer in 1984. Mitchell has produced more than 90 in- line push pointers of various capacities and number of dies over the last 58 years of business. Mitchell also recently delivered a 12,500lb three die in-line push pointer for aluminium tubes; a 50,000lb two die vertical push pointer and a 50,000lb hydraulic cylinder draw bench for Nitinol (nickel-titanium) tubing; a variable wall automotive axle tube extruding and end forming line; a 50,000lb five die rotary hydraulic push pointer for copper tubes; and a 150,000lb tube end forming machine for construction pilings.

GEORGE A Mitchell Company, based in Ohio, US, has been contracted to supply a 33/50,000lb four die in-line hydraulic push pointer for a North American man- ufacturer of cold drawn copper tubes for the plumbing, refrigeration, medical and industrial markets. This is one of the fastest push pointers that Mitchell has designed and is able to produce a 6" point length with a four die reduction in just 14 seconds. Mitchell developed hydraulic push pointing more than 50 years ago, and
