Made in Steel conference and exhibition IN 2018, the steel industry has gained the possibility to look at the future with moderate positivity. In this context, the Made in Steel trade show for the steel industry will return in 2019, from 14 to 16 May. For the first time in its more than decade-long history, Made in Steel will have a midweek schedule, opening on a Tuesday and closing on a Thursday. The location, however, will remain unchanged. In pavilions 22 and 24 of fieramilano Rho (Milan, Italy), the same as the last edition, the major players of the steel industry will gather to do business and discuss the major issues facing the sector. The previous edition, held in 2017, saw an 18 per cent growth in foreign exhibitors and a 15 per cent growth in attendance – nearly 15,000 visitors – compared with the previous edition. Alongside the presence of the biggest international players in the steel indus- try, from manufacture to distribution and use, the event will represent an impor- tant opportunity to examine the key is- sues for the European steel market of today and tomorrow. As well as being a showcase, Made in Steel is a culture hub that hopes to further competitive collaboration and the exchange of information, through conventions, forums and round tables. For these reasons, the three-day fair offers opportunities for business and ideas, relationships and knowledge. For the 2019 event, the focus will be on the topic of innovation, which is also having an impact on the steel industry.
