complete tooling system for different API angles and geometries. Fast changeover times are guaranteed by the quick tool change system with integrated handling device and integrated tool monitoring. A completely re-designed rugged high-performance spindle unit with up to 100kW continuous power ensures extreme cutting performance. The output of the machine working in continuous operation is secured for another 20 years. The completely capsuled machine housing is equipped with noise and emission reduction and can be operated safely and ergonomically. As a result, on the one hand, safe and comfortable operation is secured, on the other hand the optimised latest drive generation

REIKA has completed a 24" chamfering machine model 382 together with the modernisation of an existing transport system and control system ahead of the contract deadline. The preliminary acceptance with factory test was successful, so the new system can smoothly replace the previous Reika chamfering system after 24 years of operation and many million tonnes of steel pipe production at the Hamm, Germany-based plant. The Reika chamfering line operates according to API standards, is used for preparing steel tubes with a wall thickness range of up to 25.4mm and a material strength of up to 900N/mm² for line pipes and casing tubes. The line is equipped with a concentric, NC adjustable 3-jaw clamping system and AACHENER Maschinenbau GmbH (Amba) has announced the appointment of Georg Haas as its new manager of sales, succeeding Manfred Houben. Mr Haas will be responsible for the complete range – including after sales – of Amba’s all-in-one cold-forming machines designed for the production of special tubes, screws and spokes. Mr Houben said: “In Georg Haas, we have found a sales expert who understands both our machines and the international sales business.
