Bültmann tube bundling and packing lines designed for individual applications

NEW bundling and packing lines from Bültmann are being used both for pre- cision steel tubes andbars and in thearea of hot rolled materials. The gentle feed- ing of individual tubes and bars into the bundling area meets even the most diverse requirements efficienty. Already separated tubes/bars are not reassembled in layers for bundle forming, but are fed individually to form the bundle. Depending on the appli- cation, this is done either via specially designed feeder arms or vertical handling systems with vacuum technology. This avoids relative movements or line contact between the tubes/bars. As an additional positive element, both solutions result in a low noise emission. In addition, it is possible to bundle the products in either rectangular or hexagonal bundle shapes. The bundling line is automatically set to the pre- selected bundle shape by means of

which makes it possible to pre-select individual bundle, shape and quantity specifications. The programs created in this way can be saved as a recipe and can therefore be reproduced at any time. In addition, data interfaces enable the linking to higher-level production control systems and also fulfil further requirements with regard to the ubiquitous topic Industry 4.0. The Bültmann bundling and packing lines can be individually combined or enhanced – for example with automatic strapping, labelling, plastic wrapping and bundle storage equipment and are, of course, also available as turnkey solution in complete plant concepts. It is possible for the company to work out a specially tailored packing concept for any application.

CMS offers instruments dedicated to the control of tubes, wires and small par ts CÔNTROLE Mesure Systèmes,

that is dedicated to the control of wire and parts of small diameters (range from Ø 0.8 to 10mm). CMS aims to offer a control solution that is suitable to the needs of all of its customers. The company, which specialises in eddy current and ultrasound, has integrated these two complementary methods in combined test benches. The system, which can easily be integrated on a control line, includes a cassette adapted to the diameter of the product. Eddy Current probes installed inside the cassette rotate at high speeds around the product (up to 18,000rpm).

This model allows the detection of longitudinal defects on wires, bars, tubes or unit parts with a very high inspection speed (up to 3m/s). For the control of wire or continuous products, Côntrole Mesure Systèmes also designs opening eddy current probes that allow direct insertion into the production line without having to cut or stop it. These probes are very useful for the continuous control of butt-welded wire coils. The detected defects are punctual and transversal.
