Jiangsu Lihuai Iron & Steel orders Kocks 3-roll technology for third time JIANGSU Lihuai Iron & Steel Co Ltd (Huaigang Special Steel) has placed an order with Friedrich Kocks GmbH & Co KG, Germany, for the supply of an RSB ® 500++/4. Huaigang Special Steel (HSS) is a subsidiary of the Shagang Group, which is the sixth largest steel producer in the world and one of the largest privately owned industrial enterprises in China. The Kocks RSB ® will produce straight bars within a dimension of Ø70 to 160mm and will be located as a finishing unit after the intermediate mill consisting of 6 stands in horizontal/vertical arrangement. With the implementation of the biggest Kocks RSB ® 500++/4 in the existing bar mill line, it is the third Kocks block for HSS that will be commissioned following previous orders in 2010 and 2019. This offers HSS the opportunity to produce high-quality special steel in various batch sizes to further expand its market share in the SBQ market.
