With the world economy steadily stabilising after Covid-19, and many countries lifting restrictions, it appears to be leading to some record breaking machinery orders for a number of companies, which you can read more about starting on page 6. Fives Group has signed several orders for the delivery of Bronx straighteners to countries including Mexico, Spain and Russia and these should be delivered by the second quarter of 2022. Over in Germany Reika has announced that it has received the biggest order in the company’s history. The new mill will be equipped with a complete Reika finishing line and production is planned to start at the new plant in 2023, which is located outside European borders. Meanwhile in the US, Kent Corporation has celebrated its 50th year of business by setting a new company record for equipment sales. This record was achieved through above average sales in almost all product lines so congratulations to everyone at the company for the fantastic mile stones. Next up we have our Tube Düsseldorf Show Issue in May. With the event now being held in the summer in Germany it should ensure the smooth and successful return for the biggest event in our industry.
