with the same high reliability and repeatability,” explained Mr Philipps. “This is gapless inspection in the true sense of the word,” he added. The AllRounDia DV combines the hardware and software of Pixargus’ highly successful ProfilControl 7 tech- nology, which have been optimised and adapted to the measurement of product of simple, round contours. The result is a small-budget system that measures both the surfaces and contours of tubing, tubes and cables gaplessly, continuously and around the complete circumference of the products – with one single sensor head. As a Windows-based system, AllRounDia DV comes with all common interface ports and is easily integrated into corporate network structures. The two-in-one system can also be networked with additional sensors and measuring systems and integrated both horizontally and vertically via an OPC UA interface, for example, into innovative Industry 4.0 applications.

contours. The company has achieved this by employing a camera-based, laser-triangulation method. While conventional axis-based meas- urements using the shadowing method cover only six single points, the optical sensors of AllRounDia DV capture four million measuring points. Pixargus’ managing director, Jürgen Philipps, said: “Each individual point can be decisive for the quality of the product. Although the single-point method measures each single point very

PIXARGUS has recently launched its answer to the market’s demand for cost-efficient 360° inspection of round product with the AllRounDia DualVision (DV). This two-in-one system which has a compact design measures and inspects tubing, tubes or cables with “100 per cent defect detection rate” and will be presented at Tube 2020. According to Pixargus, the AllRounDia DV is the first gauge to deliver gapless 360° measurement of round and oval

accurately, it does not capture the area between the points and detects only defects of relatively large topographic extension (nodes).” “This can be illustrated quite simply by the following example: let’s take a defect of 1mm size on a product of 10mm size. Inspecting the product at only six spots would leave 90 per cent of the surface uninspected. AllRounDia DV, on the other hand, guarantees that each and every point is inspected

compressed air is heated to support the drying effect by convection. The scope of delivery included a unit made up of the rewinder and unwinder. The construction of a combined brush and high-pressure cleaning system for steel profiles has already been initiated. In this wet chemical cleaning system to reduce emulsion and rolling abrasion, the brushes are continuously supplied with cleaning fluid. Dissolved particles are removed by high-pressure nozzles. The material is also preserved in this process. The system is supplemented by a matched filter system and a dosage for cleaning and preservation.

be removed from the band saw blade surface with hot water. The installation of three GEO high-pressure nozzles in a compact system provided the required surface quality for the cleaning of steel profiles at a line speed of approximately 30m/min. Due to the limited space available in this case, the high-pressure cleaning units placed in several lines are supplied from a central tank system that includes filtration and continuous refreshment of the cleaning medium. The structure of continuous ultrasonic cleaning of precious metal strips for the production of stamped, welded and bent parts was more conventional. The system for process speeds up to 10m/min is divided into cleaning, rinsing and drying areas. In the final drying, the

GEO-Reinigungstechnik offers wire, tape, tube and cable cleaning equipment with a customisable and flexible set-up for a wide range of applications. The design and construction of customer-specific tape cleaning sys- tems was one of the company’s focuses in 2019, primarily due to production demands, in particular the size of the system and the different areas of application of the end products. The in-line cleaning of band saw blades of various widths in compact, single-stage high-pressure cleaning systems with variably adjustable nozzles was found by the company to be an uncomplicated task, since the line speeds were moderate – a maximum of 4.5m/min. Particles and emulsions could
