Burgsmüller GmbH set to build ‘most modern manufacturing site in Europe’

offering enhanced production capacity and office space for up to 125 employees. The Einbeck site will be designed as a Smart Factory with consistently networked production and data processing in real time, visualised processes and extensive data analysis. In addition, the production efficiency will be sustainably increased by the use of machine tools, and the lead time for the production of components will be reduced. THREAD cutting specialist and the inventor of whirling technology, Burgsmüller – part the KraussMaffei Group – is set to build ‘the most modern manufacturing site in Europe’ for up to 125 of its employees. The new metalworking plant, which will be based in Einbeck, Lower Saxony, Germany, will focus on the internationally competitive production of wear parts for plastics processing machinery and will be built by VGP, a project developer for commercial real estate, not far from the company’s current location in Kreiensen. “The move from our original location in Kreiensen to the new production hall in Einbeck is an important milestone in the development of our company,” said Jens Biel, managing director of Burgsmüller GmbH. “In VGP, we have found a reliable partner with a convincing track record of successful

projects completed at other locations of the KraussMaffei Group. “VGP will develop and tailor the new production site to our specific requirements and individual ideas.” Relocation of Burgsmüller’s production site from Kreiensen to Einbeck is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2020. The site will have a plot area of ​approximately 20,000m 2 and roughly 7,200m² of floor space,
