n Could you tell us about your company? Azak Tool Technologies is a company established at the beginning of 2018 with the experience and knowledge of Ağır Haddecilik Inc as a result of observing current market requirements. Our company has based its activities on being an expert in cutting tools with the aim of selling products in markets all over the world. After two years of preliminary research we have started the manufacture of circular saw blades and we are already making good progress on that

n What are the activities of your company? Would you give us information about the products and services you offer to your customers? Our primary goal is the production of HSS circular saw blades. Many companies produce circular saw blades and they purchase raw materials as a semi-finished product and then complete the operation by adding the specific teeth and coating at their own facilities. Our aim is to be able to carry out all of these processes in our own integrated manufacturing facility and then sell around the world. In the future we intend to continue to invest in even more additional advanced cutting tools applications. High-speed steel (HSS) is defined as tool material with high-speed cutting capability. The most important feature of this steel is that it protects the blade from wear at high temperatures. The operating temperature ranges from approximately 400 to 600°C. These steels have good resistance to high temperatures as well as hardness, and abrasion and impact resistance. High-speed tool steels contain certain elements such as chromium, vanadium, molybdenum, tungsten and cobalt in various combinations as alloying elements. As with all other tool steels, heat treatment and design must be applied correctly in order to achieve the expected properties in high-speed tool steels. As a result of the two years of research we have recently completed we have knowledge of high quality raw materials and heat treatment processes and subsequent processing looms where we can process this raw material. In addition, before and after the heat treatment process, the placement and transportation processes will be carried out completely

Azak Tool Technologies Inc – a company overview

Azak Tool Technologies Inc was established in 2018 by Ağır Haddecilik Inc and is the first company in Turkey to produce HSS circular saws. Its products will be produced using the latest technology and using fully automated systems. The company uses its own heat treatment plant and PVD coating process, which improves quality and cutting performance of HSS circular saw blades. It has made the necessary investment to carry out all the processes involved in producing the blades at its own facility. In addition, the plant has an advanced quality control laboratory to control all processes and tests of the blades scientifically. Azak Tool Technologies Inc is to reveal its first products to the market in 2019, offering HSS circular saw blades and also hardened discs, coated discs and uncoated discs. Azak attaches great importance to education of its staff and technological investments in order to provide higher production efficiency for its customers. This results in skilled technical staff with technological flair using the latest equipment.
