The design is based on the electric, manually operated Combi-GTE model, known for its efficiency in rail-guided narrow aisles. The Combi-AGT is equipped with laser based sensors to create an anti-collision safety system, as mandated by the American National Standards Institute. When the sensors detect an obstacle in the truck’s path, the machine will automatically slow down and come to a stop in case of an emergency. Once the obstacle is no longer in the sensor’s range, the Combi-AGT will resume driving automatically. COMBILIFT annually invests 7 per cent of its revenue in R&D, with about 98 per cent of it focused on the development of new electric material-handling solutions.
