Kemppi subsidiary inaugurates new welding facility in west India

KEMPPI India Pvt Ltd has strengthened its foothold in the Indian welding market by opening a new facility in Ingale Industrial Park, Pune. Located in west India, Pune is an IT hub and the most important automobile and manufacturing area in India. Kemppi has been running its business in India for 11 years. The strategic decision to move from Chennai to Pune enables Kemppi to grow in the coming years. The new facility and its advanced demonstration area invites customers to welding training sessions. Products are also displayed in the show room. “The new facility, approximately 3,000m 2 , includes a show room where products are displayed. With a possibility to demonstrate live welding, this investment shows our commitment for serving our customers in India and to support them in the long term,” said Ajay Trikha, managing director, Kemppi India.

The new facility is the base for all sales activities in India including marketing, warehouse, technical support and after sales service teams. “The official opening of our new sales entity, which is located closer to our customers, is an important moment and marks the beginning of a new chapter in the life of Kemppi India. The Indian welding market is among the largest in the world, and I am excited about the opportunities it brings to Kemppi,” added Gerben Van den Berg, vice-president, markets.
