A double sheet control with special proper ties from Roland Electronic

THE SHX sensor bracket has been designed by Roland Electronic GmbH for the effective integration of double sheet sensors in vacuum toolings. SHX is also ideally suited for retrofitting. Due to a central spring combined with a belt, the bracket does not need any guides. As a result, this solution offers almost ideal operating behaviour. Placing on sloping TWB stacks is easy to manage – placing is convenient, so that collisions of the sensor or the sensor plug with the upper plate are a thing of the past, even with the most sloping stacks. An essential property of a good sensor bracket is the mobility of the suction plate. In the extended state, this is a basic requirement for performing reliable double sheet control. However, this mobility is in con- tradiction to the desire to be as stiff as

possible in the extended state. Due to the spring-belt combination, this challenge was optimally solved with the SHX sensor bracket. A big advantage is that guiding is not necessary. This means that wear and tear and jamming are a thing of the past. The significant weight saving is positive, as this spring-belt system has only a small mass. This performance places the lightweight SHX sensor bracket as a leading solutions worldwide. In the extended state, the bracket is designed for an acceleration in the horizontal direction of 2g. Therefore component-transfer is no longer a limiting factor. The SHX sensor bracket, in combination with the high- performance sensors of the double sheet control system E20, finally solves the known problems of this application,

so that a reliable double sheet control is almost guaranteed. This avoids costly damage and downtime.
