Three FABTECH stands for 4-way forklifts from Combilift

versatile workhorses for offloading raw materials, working around production lines, and handling and storing finished products in the warehouse. The XL exhibits feature a large roomy cab, and with higher ground clearance they are suitable for work on tough ground conditions. Combilift’s smallest model to date – the Combi-WR4 – is making its FABTECH debut this year. This is the first purpose-built 4-way pedestrian reach stacker that combines multi- directional travel with features such as a pantograph reach, side shift and tilting fork carriage. With a load capacity of 3,200lb/ 1,450kg, it can handle long loads and pallets in very narrow aisles and is claimed to be the only truck of its kind able to work in aisle-widths of 2.1m pallet to pallet. Combilift’s products are characterised by robust, simple design for reliable long-life operation, and are all operator and maintenance friendly. Diesel, LPG and AC electric power are available together with a wide range of options and attachments. See Combilift at stands S2174, S2274 and N1056 at FABTECH, Atlanta, USA.

LONG load handling expert Combilift is exhibiting a selection of its 4-way forklifts on three stands at this year’s FABTECH in Chicago. The company’s products, which have lift capacities from 1.5 tons to 80 tons are all designed for the safe, space saving and productive handling and storage of the large loads typically handled in the fabricating sector. All Combilifts can be customised to individual requirements to provide tailor-made handling solutions. The exhibits include stand-on trucks from the GT range, heavy- duty XL models from the original C series, the award-winning compact counterbalance design Combi-CB and an Aisle-Master articulated truck for VNA operation. The GT model is a popular choice for steel and pipe stockholders as its very narrow cab reduces the overall width of the machine for operation in narrow aisles, enabling better use of available space and reducing on-site storage costs. It is also quick and easy for operators to enter and exit the cab for productive, time-saving operation. Electric and LPG models with capacities of 6,000lb/three tons and 11,000lb/five tons will be on display. The 10,000lb/4.8 tons capacity models from the original C series are

Tubacex produces seamless stainless steel tubes and pipes, and chose the Isend solution after a long decision period. The system is based on eddy current technology and has been integrated with an existing UT system, giving Tubacex a complete solution that covers its high quality standards. Tubacex’s acceptance conditions are highly demanding, and ensure the best performance during the testing processes and the highest quality of the final products. The solution

ISEND has commissioned a new system to test stainless steel tubes up to 220mm OD according to the ISO- 10893 EH1 standard. The system uses large-diameter pass-through coils with magnetisation, able to detect small defects at production speed. These tubes are intended for subsea applications in offshore platforms. The system also features a demagnetising unit to remove the remaining magnetism after testing.
