Cutting, sawing & prof i l ing technology

PVD-coated tube blade TRU-CUT Saw will introduce a new line of PVD-coated tube shear blades at FABTECH in November (Booth N1040). The shear blades will be offered in M2 and D2 high speed steels with a choice of PVD coatings: TiN, TiCN, AlTiN and ViTA-Nano. These coatings increase lubricity, extend blade life, strength and flatness, and provide more uptime on the tube mill. simple hand cut-off machines to high production flying cut-off machines. Blades are designed for all sawing applications in ferrous and non-ferrous materials, and sizes range from 200mm to over 3m. Tru-Cut claims to be the only US saw manufacturer with its own in- house PVD coating chambers. The company also sells the Tru- Cut 16" (400mm) Dry Cut Metal Saw, designed for cutting tubular, solid, angled and other shapes.

Reducing downtime RANDOLPH Tool states that its vertical and horizontal tube cut-off blades, as well as jaws/dies, are manufactured with the best tooling processes currently available by craftsmen with an excellent eye for detail. The blades are extremely flat and smooth, which causes sigificantly less friction during the cutting process. This helps blades last longer, which means less downtime and more production. Randolph Tool is also recognised for its engineering capabilities, management and extensive consultation services. By collaborating with its customers from day one the company aims to help them become the best business they possibly can be.
