Effective, safe and easy-to-use pipe cutting and finishing

IN 2002 Exact Tools introduced an innovative system for cutting and finishing metal, plastic and ventilation pipes. The Exact pipe cutting system aims to improve the efficiency of pipe cutting while at the same time increasing safety and ease of use. The Exact pipe cutters complete work more quickly than methods that have been used in the past and the quality of the finished cut is clean and straight so that normally no extra shaping or rework is required. The pipe cutters are light and easy to move, so work can be carried out wherever it is needed. When cutting metal pipes the Exact pipe cutters create virtually no sparks. As the cutting process is cold cut, the cutting edge/surface does not heat up, avoiding, in the case of cast iron pipes, the possibility of damage of the pipe or inside coating. This is much safer for workers. It also means the tubes can be cut at the point of installation without fear of fire hazards or of damage to other building materials. When using the Exact pipe cutting system it is no longer necessary to move heavy tools or pipes into different positions. The pipe cutters require only a gentle, stable rotation. The light and comfortable system eliminates any risks to health that come from the movement of heavy tools or difficult-to-use equipment – major causes of physical injuries over the years. The Exact pipe cutting system offers innovative tools for the cutting and finishing of metal, plastic and ventilation pipes. The common characteristics of all Exact tools are their quick operation, their light weight and their sophisticated comfort for users. Before the introduction of the Exact pipe cutting system there had been little innovation in the practice of cutting pipes and workers had to use an angle grinder or a heavy and slow tool that can be inaccurate and also presents a fire- safety hazard. When the cutting has been finished with, for example, an angle grinder, often the pipe is still not yet ready to be welded or connected, but a time- consuming process of bevelling or grinding must be performed. With Exact pipe cutting systems it is possible to

only cut or bevel, or cut and bevel at the same time, leaving a cutting surface that is straight and clean. In seconds the pipe is ready for joining or welding. Over the last ten years, Exact Tools has developed a number of modern tools for pipe cutting, finishing and processing. Innovative products from Exact are claimed to raise the pipe working efficiency to an entirely new level.
