Ready for mandatory CE marking STEEL bending company Barnshaws Metal Bending has announced that it was fully ready for the 1 July introduction of mandatory CE marking for all fabricated structural steelwork. components, covering the supply of curved components to Execution Class 4 (Exc4). is fully compliant with its expected end use. The CE mark also confirms the competence, knowledge and skills of manufacturing staff and that manufacturing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated (where necessary).

Barnshaws invested a six-figure sum to achieve accreditation. Particular emphasis was placed on both tensile and yield strength of products in the performance assessment of every aspect of the product range, using hundreds of samples fabricated to a variety of different radii. The company has involved its entire supply chain in the CE marking process, to ensure that all product components acquired from third parties are in full compliance in terms of measurement and performance. CNC cutting systems

ZINSER, founded in 1898, is a manufacturer of CNC cutting systems, and a provider of oxy-acetylene equipment and hot air welding devices. At EuroBLECH, the company will exhibit the Zinser 1306 CNC pipe cutting machine with three axes, which was developed for the efficient processing of cylindrical and square pipes. Another highlight will be the Zinser CNC drilling unit for making perfect holes according to EN1090 and reducing cycle times. Both process steps – cutting and drilling – can be realised on one guiding machine. The Zinser plasma bevel head will also be presented.
