Automated roll forming machine

Roll-Kraft, USA, has launched the new Ardcor AutoPro 315 rollforming machine. The new custom-designed machine is an automated and programmable machine that combines advanced electronics and durable construction. The machine is suited to customers who produce C-channel or U-channel profiles with various gauge, width, height, and flange requirements. It automatically adjusts to produce the selected part,

chosen via a pre-programmed touchscreen control panel. The Ardcor AutoPro 315 is capable of producing C and U profiles in the following ranges: thickness from 20 to 12 gauge (0.030" to 0.110"); widths from 2.5" to 14" (or as required); flange heights from 0.25" (Us); 1.25" (Cs), up to 3" (return lips 0.38" to 1"); and lengths from 5ft to over 50ft. The AutoPro custom engineered software controls all aspects of the machine’s

position, using servo motor technology. It incorporates easy-to-navigate user touchscreens, and can import and store up to 200 part numbers with their respective machine pre- sets. Optional ethernet connection allows offsite troubleshooting or program updates. Designed to run pre-cut lengths of material with variable speeds up to 350 fpm, AutoPro features a manually adjustable entry guide, over form and

 The AutoPro mill can produce C-channel or U-channel profiles straightening stands (with digital indicators) to compensate for stock width, and material yield strength. Servomotors control all gauge, width, and height settings on the mill, with constant feedback for accurate, repeatable setups. All upper spindles incorporate anti-backlash heads that are either individually servo controlled or coupled, using splined connectors. Other AutoPro features include manual adjustment for fine-tuning or recalibration of the machine; programmable part identi- fication system (ink jet); material lubrication system with six lube points and timers; single output transmissions and spur gear drive train; and strong through-shaft spindle design incorporating tapered bearings.
