Metal-Forum of Ukraine 2008 (www.metal-forum.org) will take place from 22-24 October in Kiev, Ukraine. The event is the 7 th annual meeting of

A one-day symposium, titled TST’08 – Trends in Surface Technology (www.polimi. it), took place in June at the Politecnico di Milano in Italy.

The 4 th Busan International Machinery Fair (www. merebo.com) – Butech 2009 – will be held from 20-24 May 2009 in Busan,
in Montichiari, Italy. A showcase for sustainable metallurgy, the 2009 event will address environmental quality, energy efficiency and recovery of chips.
Pulsar Ltd (www.pulsar.co.il), Israel, and SLV Munich (www. slv-muenchen.de), Germany, co-hosted a successful first technical conference on
South Korea. Taking place at the Busan Exhibition & Convention Centre (Bexco), the exhibition is divided into machinery technology, factory automation equipment, dies and moulds, tools and welding, and parts and materials. Over 400 exhibitors from 25 countries participated in the last Butech in 2007, which attracted 53,014 trade visitors.
