Servo controlled roll bending of parts
The Eagle Bending Machines/BPR Curvatrici BA CNC series of bending machines provide precision and control via servo roll bending controls. The models BA20, BA35, and BA50 are capable of producing variable radius bends as large as required down to the 4D-5D degree bend range, which overlaps non-mandrel rotary compression bending. It is possible to use one set of tube or pipe rolls to cover an infinite radius range. Capable of an increase in product flexibility, the BA CNC series is capable of achieving multiple bends and multiple bend-plains. Complex
parts with multiple radii can be easily programmed in just a few lines. Shortcut function key commands are
conveniently displayed for quick reference at the top of each function screen. Programming is made even easier via the dxf key. It is possible to simply insert a flash card with a dxf file into the PC and press one button to convert the dxf file into a program.

The BA CNC series has been specifically designed for ease of use by operators of all skill levels regardless of any prior knowledge of computers. The Eagle Bending Machines/BPR Curvatrici BA CNC Series servo controlled roll bending machines are capable of precisely compensating for material differences that more basic types of CNC roll bending machines cannot match. Typical setup time for repeat work averages 5 minutes for tooling and program change out. Cycle times range from 10 seconds to 45 seconds per part depending upon the degree of complexity. Movement of the rolls is controlled by an electronic unit to ensure synchronism of the extremities and the precise positioning of the roll. Faccin has also introduced software with a graphical interface to its 4 roll bending machines. PGS 2000 is a further advancement of the company’s automation program for bending systems. With the Faccin CNC, even an operator without any experience, following on-screen instructions, is quickly able to bend cylinders, ovals and open shapes with variable radii. Faccin Srl – Italy

Automated Pro Bending BPR direct radius software selects the optimal machine speed for the quickest production time for the given part. The handy ‘figures’ function screen contains a large assortment of standard shapes. In order to make a ‘U’ shape, the user can select arch 1, input the radius, input the length of the straight, and press ‘load’. The BA direct radius program automatically blends the straight and radius, and generates a graphic representation. When selecting programs the name and graphic representation are displayed
