High-speed cut-off centre for drawn steel tubes THE current Reika cut-off line, which has been producing since 1988, has been replaced by a new Model 243 cut- off centre.

The model 243 cut-off machine is part of a finishing line and a compact solution for high-speed cutting and simultaneous inside and outside chamfering of preci- sion steel tubes with a diameter range of 50 to 190mm and a wall thickness range from 1 to 25mm. By integrating the complete tube transport system, length optimising will be automated including flexible cutting with internal and external chamfering of the tube to tubes ready for shipment to the market. Cutting and chamfering takes place in a single step and is extremely precise and with minimum material losses. Due to the Reika clean cutting technology, the precision tubes are processed without contamination and damage to the tube surface with considerable cost savings as an extra benefit for the customer.
