Konecranes introduces new advice tool WITH the Crane Advisor, Konecranes offers an easy way to search for the right crane. The browser-based tool finds the individual crane system in four steps. The company specialises in supplying cranes and lifting equipment internationally.

The Crane Advisor is currently available in English, German, Chinese, French, Polish, Russian, Czech and Greek. In the store at store.konecranes.com, Konecranes offers products for operators of crane systems of all types and sizes, 24/7 and in 34 countries. Illustrative product images and categories help with selecting from the wide range available. Products bought are stored to facilitate recurrent orders. In addition, relevant instructions for use are available in a number of languages. “We are constantly improving our Store – right now we are working on introducing payment by card in Europe,” said Mr Goringe. Besides productivity-increasing lifting solutions, Konecranes offers customised services across the whole spectrum of lifting machinery, and has 16,200 employees at 600 locations in 50 countries.

Further language versions have been developed since the advisor was first introduced last year. In addition, Konecranes Store launched online in a number of countries, with more than 100,000 products listed, from electric hoists to rope guides and complete hoist gearboxes. “Our Crane Advisor identifies the right crane system in only four steps, by industry, the maximum capacity needed, the required span width, and

the individual class of use,” explained Mark Goringe, Konecranes industrial service area director. The new browser-based tool can be found at: craneadvisor.konecranes.com. The user interface of the CraneAdvisor works with all devices – smartphone, tablet or desktop PC. “More than 4,000 visitors have already tried our tool in only a few months. We expect high demand in the UK as well,” said Mr Goringe. “We also want to continuously expand the choice of languages. For example, we are currently planning a Spanish version. Other languages will follow.”
