Bending high strength tubes AT Tube India International 2012, Schwarze-Robitec GmbH presented the new tube cold-bending machine CNC 100 DB. The innovation was developed specifically for bending boiler tubes and tube coils in demanding materials.

“Ultimately, efficiency inside the combustion chamber is dependent on the tubes used providing the greatest possible area for heat transfer with the tightest possible bending radii. This is not new. However, the bending challenge behind it is much greater due to the high- strength materials,” explains Schwarze- Robitec managing director Bert Zorn. With the CNC 100 DB tube cold-bending machine, the specialists have constructed the required plant innovation and further developed their special booster bending machine process without mandrel. The primary consideration here was the regulation of the plant. On the one hand, greater bending forces are needed in order to cold shape the harder tubes. the CNC 100 DB is a development of the range of systems from Schwarze- Robitec for tube processing in power plant construction.
