The development of directly forming square and rectangular welded pipe mills

the minimum quantity of the order, which can even go down to the extent of a few pipes. For the CNC-CFS all-flexible square and rectangular pipe mill, its outstanding performance is conspicuous while its shortage is that it can only produce square and rectangular pipes, but not round pipes or other types of pipes and profiles. CNC-CFS(R) square and rectangular (round) pipe mill is the latest technology and a patented product developed by FD Machinery. Its main feature is that it keeps all the characters of CNC-CFC as it is producing square and rectangular pipes, while it has all the characters of round pipe mill as it is producing round pipes as well as other types of pipes and profiles. It only takes 15 to 30 minutes to automatically complete the transforming from round pipe mill to CFS or from CFS back to round pipe mill only by pressing buttons. No commissioning test is needed, so production can continue immediately, wasting no materials. CNC-CFS(R) square and rectangular (round) pipe mill ingeniously puts the functions of two production lines on only one mill, efficiently utilising the same entry section, welding and annealing section, detecting and checking section, zinc-spraying and paint-spraying device, flying saw and code-spraying machine, de-watering and oiling section and bundling machine. Apart from the cost for the equipment mentioned above, which normally costs three to five times that of the main equipment, it also saves the cost for the land, factory building, labour and the investment in power, water and gas. For the customer whose demand for production capacity can be met with only one production line, CNC-CFS(R) square and rectangular (round) pipe mill can save so much investment that it is truly worthwhile to make the best use of this production line. CNC-CFS(R) square and rectangular (round) pipe mills can also work when the user is upgrading and renovating old equipment. Apart from a small number of new factories, most factories have ready-made welded pipe mills, a lot of varied rollers and other rather advanced equipment. It is really wasteful to change them. At this time the remodeling option can be made, so that all the equipment and rollers can remain. There are signs that the development trend of square and rectangular pipe mill will go to the all-flexible model, and the market for square and rectangular pipes will get more active. This is because in the future factories will need to meet all the demands and requirements of customers, including any shape, any size, any thickness, any r angle, any length, any material and any quantity. Factories will produce according to orders, the limit of the minimum order quantity will be lifted, and even customers can bring their own materials for processing. Factories will not stock materials anymore, and the prices of square and rectangular pipes will be lower than that of round pipes.

CNC-CFS is a fully flexible square and rectangular pipe mill, which can change the specification automatically in a very short time by simply entering the product specification on the screen. One set of rollers can produce any size within the production range, and the rollers do not need to be changed, so production can continue consistently without commissioning test and materials wasted. Taking changing specifications two times a day as an example, the finished product ratio can reach more than 99.95 per cent. From feeding to collecting, the whole process is automated and electrified, and only three or four operators are needed. HYBRIDCYLINDER is a ‘plug and play’ electro hydraulic linear servo actuator. The hybrid design combines the advantages of a hydraulic system with a brushless servo system. The new solution aims to helps customers with

energy saving of about 15,000kWh per application and it also needs 50 per cent less installation space and uses 90 per cent less oil. The integration of cylinder, pump, manifold and motor in a single element make installation easy. Low consumption brushless technology for ‘on demand’ management of the servo pump is possible. The pump works only when necessary and increases efficiency to 80 per cent of the Hybridcylinder system. High force, position and velocity are instantly controlled by the brushless servo system. Speeds up to 200mm/s or higher (with accumulator) and accuracies up to 0.01mm guaranteed by the integrated transducers not forgetting the traditional system overloadability as well as precise axle control thanks to digital servo technology. Immediate interaction with additional electric or hydraulic axes, both linear and rotary and with the EtherCat, CanOpen and ProfiNet networks are possible.
