Bültmann introduces a new dimension in tube measurement GERMAN mechanical engineering company Bültmann has further developed its optical tube measuring system with an integrated surface defect detection. The Twin Line Laser Check, Type LC responds to the increasing requirements in quality as well as the demand for “intelligent” machine technology with high process reliability at the same time. The innovative measuring system eliminates weak points of hitherto existing measuring equipment and includes additional functions that are required from a measuring system. Due to its positioning directly in the drawing process, it significantly reduces the amount of scrap. At the same time, the integrated, Industry 4.0 compatible system can take into account process-related environmental influences. The measurements, which are currently implemented in almost every new Bültmann drawing plant, can also be retrofitted for older Bültmann drawing lines. Two new patent applications have secured the new innovations.
