THE Emmedi welding line has added the Mosweld SiC to its range. The machine is an evolution of HFI welder with silicon carbide transistors, with various installations already successfully operating throughout the world. The SiC technology is said to allow for higher capacity than traditional transistors, thus reducing the quantity of devices required. An increase in reliability and electrical efficiency, together with lower overall operational costs, are some of the features Emmedi is boasting. The welder has an optimised control to limit the sensitivity to short circuits, to minimise downtime and also to protect the system. It also features auto-tuning
