A distinction is made between two options: the in-house calibration service, and the on-site calibration service. With the in-house calibration service, the calibration of devices is performed by a Sikora engineer at the company’s headquarters in Bremen, Germany, or at the specially equipped Sikora subsidiaries. A functional test and basic cleaning is carried out, and the reliability and accuracy of the device are checked. The customer receives a ‘calibration certificate’ that confirms the successful calibration with certified test probes. As a special service, Sikora can provide loan equipment for the time of calibration. For customers with permanently installed equipment or with the need to avoid time losses due to the de- installation and shipping of the device, Sikora recommends the on-site calibration service. The calibration is performed by a Sikora service engineer or by a trained employee of one of the Sikora subsidiaries directly at the customer’s site. A functional test and basic cleaning is carried out and the reliability and accuracy are checked. In addition, the employee checks the installation of the device on-site, maintains the equipment and offers employee training on request.
Sikora also offers device training, and is putting a focus on a calibration service. With the company’s extended service support, customers can choose from a variety of service possibilities, no matter in which part of the world the devices are installed.
