Butting said it is delighted that it has been able to produce 50km of duplex pipes for PDO as part of the “well delivery programme 2009”. The pipes, were made of LC65 – 2205 (UNS S31803), produced – in accordance with API 5LC and project specifications, – a total of around 1,500 tons. The longitudinally welded steel coil pipes were produced by Butting in four different dimensions: 273.1 x 6.4mm, 273.1 x 5.1mm, 219.1 x 4.8mm as well as 219.1 x 5.2mm and represent the customer’s annual requirement for 2009. Thepipeswereusedas flow-lines for transportinggasunderground from the various fields to the processing plants.
