Tubes & Fittings 2008 is jointly organised by Ukrtruboprom – the Association of Tube and Pipe Plants of the Ukraine. In operation for over 15 years, the organisation’s members include 13 tube plants, plus state enterprises Ya.Ye.Osada Scientific Research Tube Behind the scenes: Ukrtruboprom Association

Institute (NITI) and VNITI-TEST Inter- regional Scientific-Engineering Center of Certification of quality systems, tubes, cylinders and other metal products. Themembershavecombinedproduction facilities including 40 specialised tube departments. These production facilities offer a range of over 1,500 tube sizes manufactured from 300 different steel grades and alloys. Seventy five per cent of the tube produced by Ukrtruboprom members is certified according to international standards API, EN, DIN and ASTM. Ukrainian tube and pipe is exported to over 118 countries. In 2007 Ukrtruboprom co- organised the International Tube Association’s highly successful conference in Dnepropetrovsk,

titled Tube Ukraine International 2007. The conference was attended by 230 delegates who enjoyed 69 technical papers. To build on this success, Ukrtruboprom has also co-organised a conference that will take place on 18-19 June during Tubes & Fittings Ukraine 2008 (see opposite for details).
