Refractory metals the key to leading tube range

Dnepr-GL Ltd, Ukraine, is a manufacturer of tubes made from alloys based on refractory metals (RTM), produced according to leading technology. The production of tubes from refractory metals (RMT) – such as chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, tantalum and niobium – is acknowledged to be the most advanced approach to raw materials selection. Special high- precision equipment is used at the company as well as vacuum methods of heat treatment and modern technologies of chemical treatment and finishing of ready products. High-precision technologies used by the company permit the production of thin wall and ultra thin wall tubes including capillary, and tubes of any steel grades including refractory metals (tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, niobium and base alloys). The main size range is from 0.3mm up to 55mm and wall thickness from 20µm up to 20mm. According to Dnepr-GL Ltd, the market for refractory products is developing very rapidly. Great demand for tube products of this segment is stimulated by the fast development of robotics and the instrument- making industry, electronics, machine- building, chemical and petrochemical industry, and space/military industry. For example, the demand in molybdenum tubes from Russian enterprises is more than 2,000kg per annum. Increase of

the market during the last 2-3 years is mainly due to military-industrial complex enterprises.
