Pipe finishing expertise for the Russian and CIS markets

Interpipe, a leading producer of API pipe in the Ukraine, has awarded Bronx International with several large projects. Two API 13 3 / 8 " pipe straightening machines will be installed in 2008, together with another Bronx 13 3 / 8 " hydrostatic pipe testing machine. These machines will provide for the alternative pressures required within the stringent demands of the growing OCTG market. Bronx are also assessing Interpipe’s requirements for other specialized pipe finishing equipment including Bronx leak testers – for threaded and coupled pipe ends – and patented collapse tester lines. Bronx/Taylor-Wilson, USA, has recently commissioned and installed two hydrotesters at TMK’s Sinara and Tagmet

works in Russia. These machines are highly advanced and capable of testing 219mm API 5 CT products at pressures up to 150 MPA. The machines incorporate a design feature of 2.962kN end loads. The company has also supplied three straighteners to TMK (6 and 10 roll machines) at Sinara, Tagmet and Volzhsky. Bronx commissioned and installed a 6.CR.11 straightener at Vyksa, to process API pipe for diameters up to 346mm in diameter. Bronx/Taylor-Wilson has shipped another pipe tester to the Volzhsky plant for API 5CT product up to 339.7mm at pressures above 100MPA. Tagmet has also taken delivery of another Bronx/ Taylor-Wilson hydrotester for API 5CT product up to 273.1mm at pressures above 100MPA.
