Logstor and Mannesmann Fuchs Rohr form oil and gas partnership

Logstor, Denmark, and Mannesmann Fuchs Rohr GmbH, Germany, are to launch a one-stop-shop production concept for pre- insulated pipes for the oil and gas industry. Logstor is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of pre-insulated pipes, and Mannesmann Fuchs Rohr GmbH (a member of the Salzgitter Group) is Germany’s leading company within longitudinally HFI-welded steel pipes. Together, the two companies will form a strong joint marketing programme tailored to the oil and gas industry. The move is designed to optimize production and logistics and thereby strengthen Logstor and Mannesmann Fuchs Rohr’s market position in the oil and gas industry. This common approach will be focused predominantly on the oil and gas sector for onshore and offshore pipelines. Both companies will remain separately owned and follow their own existing sales and marketing strategies. “Logstor and Mannesmann Fuchs Rohr have formerly worked closely together

on joint project planning, and we’ve been able to solve some of the most demanding challenges. We therefore welcome the extended prospects of a shared marketing programme,” said Mr Marc Rasquin, CEO of Mannesmann Fuchs Rohr. “Our marketing agreement with Mannesmann Fuchs Rohr is a new opportunity for Logstor to support our oil and gas customers with increased capacity and a positive delivery of our products. The new agreement has been formed following an ongoing strategic review conducted by Logstor to ensure the supply of world-class pre-insulated pipes. With this decision, we are now taking the next step in becoming the world’s number one manufacturer of pre-insulated pipes to the oil and gas industry,” said Mr Jakob Jespersen, managing director of Logstor Oil & Gas. Until just a few years ago, Logstor’s main focus was the growing demand for district heating. Logstor has more recently developed core competences in pre-insulated pipe systems in the area of transportation of oil and gas. Today,
