fitted with a VRD (voltage reduction device) – reduces the OCV to 30V for both MMA and TIG welding. It has been designed for use with most types of electrodes including cellulosic ranging from 1.5-5mm diameter. The MinarcTig™ 250 and MinarcTig™ 250 MLP are rated 160A/16.4V at 100 per cent duty cycle and 250A/20.1V at 35 per cent duty cycle for TIG welding. For MMA welding they are rated 150A/26V at 100 per cent duty cycle and 220A/28.8V at 35 per cent duty cycle, whilst the OCV is 95V. These dual-purpose machines can be used for both root and filler passes. The MLP control panel available for both the MinarcTig™ 180 and 250 machines provides the user with Kemppi’s Minilog™ to control the arc force. They also come with an automatic pulse welding function.

welding machine launched as a higher power addition to the existing Minarc™ range of MMA/TIG welders. The MinarcTig™ 250 and MinarcTig™ 250 MLP are new 3-phase 400V 50/60Hz lightweight MMA/TIG inverter welding machines, whilst the existing MinarcTig™ 180 Adaptive is also now available with a MLP control panel. The Minarc™ 220 is rated 150A/26V at 100 per cent duty cycle for MMA welding and 160A/16.4V at 100 per cent duty cycle when TIG welding. The maximum welding current for both MMA and TIG welding is 220A at 35 per cent duty cycle. When TIG welding, Kemppi’s TouchArc™ ignition system enables the operator to scratch start the arc.
