In the first stage of the process, the raw material is formed into a pipe body and provisionally welded at high speeds (up to 12m/min). In the second stage, the pipes are finally welded on separate stands where the inside and outside seams are welded simultaneously by means of submerged-arc multi wire welding. W + K’s high level of development is represented by this new generation of spiral pipe mills.
