ADVANCES IN TUBE MEASURING & MARKING
Conform™ Extrusion Technology for Refrigeration & Capillary Tube Continuous extrusion from a single aluminium rod The Continuous Rotary Extrusion (CRE) machine converts a single aluminium rod (9.5mm or 12.0mm Ø) into finished round or multi-port tube in various sizes to customer specifications. BWE’s patented Induction Heated Tooling System enables the machine to continuously extrude aluminium tube with a very thin wall thickness (down to 0.35mm). Small Capillary Tubes are also possible. Measuring company recognised in German export awards SIKORA AG, based in Bremen, Germany, has once again been named one of 520 ‘secret world market leaders’ in the German-speaking economic area. This is the result of a study conducted by the University of St Gallen in co-operation with the magazine WirtschaftsWoche and the Academy of German Business Leaders. Since 2016, Sikora has been represented for the seventh time in the ranking of the world market leaders champions. This is published annually by WirtschaftsWoche. Around 520 companies are evaluated and selected by the University of Sankt Gallen and the Academy of German Business Leaders according to defined criteria. The awarded companies occupy first or second place in at least one relevant market segment and achieve an annual turnover of at least €50mn, of which at least half is generated abroad on three or more continents. Only official figures are included in the evaluation, such as published annual financial statements in the Federal Gazette or the latest financial statements of listed companies. In the current survey, Sikora was recognised as one of three Bremen-based companies.
“For more than 50 years, we at Sikora have been investing in future-oriented technologies,” said Dr Christian Frank, CEO at Sikora. “The renewed award is a confirmation of our innovative strength and the great commitment of our team. Our goal remains to offer our customers solutions of the highest quality.” Every year, Sikora invests more than 10 per cent of its revenue in the research and development of new measuring and control technology as well as inspection, analysis and sorting systems for quality assurance during the production of wires and cables, tubes, hoses, pipes and sheets, optical fibres or plastics. With more than 400 employees in Bremen, Germany, and its 13 operating international subsidiaries, the company offers innovative solutions and customised customer service.
