Roller conveyance shot blast VIKING Blast & Wash Systems has released the newest blaster in its industrial line of pass through blasters. The RT 1212 has a blast width of 12" by 12" tall. The air intake is aggressive and allows for application of more air through the abrasive stream, providing cleaner abrasive and a cleaner cabinet. The cabinets are made of 11-14 per cent manganese or AR 500, depending on the specific application.

Roller conveyance in the cabinet is made of wear-resistant materials, and Viking offers external roller conveyance as an option. Roller conveyors have variable speed capability as well as reversing capability. The cabinet is lined with replaceable ½"-thick cast chrome/ moly liners, giving a high degree of wear resistance. The standard offering covers most applications, but it can also be fitted with a rotary scalping drum, auxiliary abrasive hoppers, and 7.5 HP or 10 HP blast wheels rather than the standard 5 HP. The unit is equipped with four 5 HP VC9, direct drive blast wheels to deliver high volume abrasive at 230ft/sec to clean parts. All Viking cartridge style dust collectors are sold with NFPA required deflagration panels as standard. The redesigned unit’s blast wheels are arranged to blast leading and trailing edges of the work area. It also incorporates starters with phase loss and imbalance protection. Viking’s newest blasters feature zero speed sensors as standard on the driven end of abrasive conveyance shafts, reducing down time when components wear out or fail.
