edge milling machines, roll bending machines, circ and long seam milling machines as well as hydroforming presses. Retrofitting jobs for machines (even those of other manufacturers) have been the company’s top sellers and most sought-after services. Gräbener will also present the latest developments in the sector of new machines for the production of large pipes: 13m and 18m pipe forming presses, pre- and post-bending presses, continuous root tacking machines, impanding and straightening presses, and powerful 3- and 4-roll bending machines. In the field of milling technology, the company will provide in-depth information on circ and long seam milling machines as well as on plate edge milling machines. The exhibits will also show technology in the sector of hot stamping and hydroforming. Here, Gräbener Maschinentechnik, as manufacturer of customised machinery, offers the entire value added chain of hydroforming technology from one source: from feasibility studies, prototyping and small series production to complex turnkey solutions. Suitable for field pipeline manufacturing and power plant construction, the Pipe Kat is a fully integrated welding system that includes a remote control pendant to allow adjustment of the critical application parameters during the welding process, including oscillation width, speed, dwells, wire feed speed and voltage. The advantage of this process is that it creates products with excellent straightness over the entire length of the workpiece, certified and repeatable measurements and high productivity of the system, which can be operated 24-hours a day and also guaranteed by automatic units for loading/unloading of the parts in the machine.

The carriage operates on a track band made of durable aluminium extrusion by engaging the track with self-aligning wheels and a rack and pinion drive. The wheel assembly uses a lever to engage the track, making it quick and simple to install the carriage. The control design makes the Pipe Kat easy to operate. A well-trained operator is important when using automation, as they become more of an arc monitor and provide quality assurance during the welding process. When choosing an automation system it is important to consider training and customer service, and to ensure that products are used to their full potential. Because the pipeline construction business involves a competitive bidding process and welding is one of the most critical and time consuming elements of the fabrication portion of the job, an effective, easy-to-use automation system is a vital component. By introducing automation to the welding process the operator is able to improve weld quality by maintaining precise control of the arc. Welder fatigue is eliminated, which minimises the amount of stops and starts necessary to complete the joint. Manufacturing be demonstrating a variety of products designed for shearing, cutting, sawing, chamfering, trimming, parting, and de- burring tube and bar finished parts. This year, Haven will be featuring the Model 873 Servo Dual-Blade Shear Tube Recut Machine, which is capable of cutting tubes from square or round stock, in lengths from 2" to 120", and employs a programmable closed-loop servo drive to ensure speed, accuracy and minimal waste material. The 873 is designed and built with the same robust steel construction, ease of operation and quick-change features that Haven features in its entire line of machinery. The company’s design engineers will be available to demonstrate the flexibility of the Haven products through custom process adaptation and organisational expertise in the design and manufacture of material handling systems. will Fax: +44 1257 254629 Email: uksales@gullco.com Website: www.gullco.com Haven Manufacturing TBC USA HAVEN

Automatic straightening machines have gone through an evolution in recent years thanks to the use of complex mechanisms, drives and electronics. The machines have become much more flexible than in the past and have the possibility of handling straightening parameters efficiently, control of workpiece deformation, higher process speed, pre and post-straightening measurements that allow the traceability of the product and easy maintainability through the maintenance messenger for remote control of the system by the Galdabini service team. This is possible through a dynamism and innovation that the company has over many years manufacturing automatic straightening machines. Germany GRÄBENER Maschinentechnik will present technology for new machines and retrofits at the Tube exhibition. At some point, even the most modern technology will be out-dated. Those who want to equip their aged machines for pipe production with the latest technology can turn to Gräbener Maschinentechnik. During the Tube exhibition, the machine builder will show that state- of-the-art technology is not only limited to new machines but can also be implemented into existing machines. Gräbener has already retrofitted a number of pipe forming presses, plate Email: debora.guarda@galdabini.it Website: www.galdabini.it Gräbener Maschinentechnik 6D30
