China ALLIED Rainbow Asia Ltd works in the capacity of a sourcing agent for customers, for their requirements of pipes (in stainless steel, carbon steel, nickel alloys, copper alloys, etc) and relevant equipment. The company sources the desired material only through reputed and PED- certified mills, from countries in Europe, Japan, USA, India, China and Korea, among others. Its QC team and logistic team supervise and manage the material at various stages. The company also welcomes third party inspections. Apart from sourcing, the company has an EPC division for value-added products and services for various projects. Services include coated pipes. Italy ASED focuses on supporting its customers with new technology and new ideas, giving the right fitting solution for their tube plant problems. Ased helps to develop and supply fully customised plants according to customers’ requirements. All Ased machines are designed to minimise energy consumption, make the operator’s job more easy and minimise the cost of maintenance. An example can be found in the plant supplied to a US company that has just been put into service and is able to handle, internally blow, cut for test and bundle pipes up to 19m long. It was a special customer’s requirement to be able to handle long tubes in an area with reduced available space and Ased made it happen. Ased supplies tube coilers, threading machines, chamfering machines, hydrotesting units, packaging machines, handling systems and a number of other machines designed to automate operations that are usually made by hand or to revamp existing machines. Ased always aims to find solutions even when most companies think it is impossible. Fax: +86 574 27780616 Email: info@alliedrainbow.com Website: www.alliedrainbow.com ASED 6B40

Austria THE ASMAG Group supplies machinery and equipment for the steel and non- ferrous metal industry. It combines two enterprises: ASMAG, a designer and manufacturer of drawing, straightening, testing, cutting, chamfering, stacking and bundling machines; and Seuthe, a designer and manufacturer of tube welding and section mills. In 2013, a Saudi Arabian producer of steel pipes for the oil and gas industry installed a Seuthe mill to strengthen one of its business segments for 8" API pipes. The cage forming technology (CTA) and a special multi-head saw design convinced the producer to choose a Seuthe mill. The delivered cage forming mill is able to produce a diameter range from 60.3 to 219.1mm by automatic roll adjustment of only one universal forming roll set. Also in 2013, the ASMAG group supplied two high-precision steel tube welding lines and a finishing line for API tube to a steel tube manufacturer in Germany. The API tube finishing line includes a straightening machine, a cutting and chamfering unit and a testing line for tubes up to 7". One of the highlights of the line is the fully automated, high-precision 10-roll straightener. As a result of several new developments, the changeover time of the entire line is claimed to be the shortest in the industry.

Italy ATS SpA has specialised in the design, manufacturing and commissioning of plants and equipment for the metal industry since 1993. On its 20 th anniversary, new management took over the company with the mission to expand its market, previously focused mainly in Italy and Central America.

All ATS machines are manufactured in the company’s 50,000m 2 workshop, which includes a gantry milling machine (3-axis, 16x4.5x4), a CNC boring machine (16x3.5x1.7), a CNC horizontal lathe (1.8x12.5) and heat- treatment facilities. Automation software is developed together with ATS’s technical department to fully exploit the performance of the plants. ATS lines are assembled and tested in-house before delivery, for a short and smooth start-up on-site. The company’s key products are complete plants for steel production, including melt shops, complete rolling mills, high-speed lines for rebar production, wire rod lines and packaging lines. ATS’s fast tying machines can perform tight and loose ties with single and double turns. ATS has experience in the automatic conditioning of bars, billets, blooms and slabs. Its grinding machines have high productivity, and are vibration-free. The company’s product portfolio includes finishing lines for seamless and welded pipes, in particular API pipe finishing lines (casing, tubing, line-pipe, coupling), and mechanical/automotive finishing lines. The company recently introduced a new automatic packaging system for tubes and bars, which is able to form round, hexagonal and square stacks of steel and non-ferrous tubes and bars.

The ASMAG group manufactures its machines and installations in its own workshops in Austria and Germany. At both locations the engineering, automation, manufacturing and assembly are under a single roof.
