Advanced Technocoil 2200 automatic pipe coiler

Sica SpA, Italy, manufactures the Technocoil 2200 coiler that incorporates the latest and most advanced technology available in the field of automatic pipe coiling. The latest in safety protection, pioneered by a team of designers from the Polytechnic of Milan, provides the coiler with a truly unique look while achieving safety and ergonomics. The equipment produces coils of flexible plastic pipe packaged with polypropylene strapping. A modular design means

excellent operational flexibility and a choice of two configurations – standard with two offloading stations, and compact with a single, central offloading station opposite the pipe infeed. Both versions incorporate two side-by- side reels, external reel drive, one or two pneumatic strapping units, and an overhead pipe guide. The main difference between the two lies in their width and ability to offload finished coils from one or two stations. Both

models can be configured to suit production requirements. The Technocoil 2200 can use six or eight sector reels, with manual or centralised automatic adjustment. The pipe guide and cutter can handle smooth or corrugated pipe and can be equipped with an on-board feed system. The coiler comes equipped with one or two electro-pneumatic strapping units (with or without labellers) that can perform even intermediate strapping, and with provisions for fully automatic adjustment.  The Technocoil 2200 automatic pipe coiler

Machines work single or double wall, flexible, corrugated, PE, PVC-U and PP pipe between 32mm and 200mm diameter, and smooth LDPE and HDPE. The maximum coil diameter is 2,200mm, with a maximum width of 720mm, and minimum internal diameter of 300mm. With two strapping units installed, this machine can maintain a maximum output of 65 coils/hour.
