Tube producer in Nor th America chooses Thermatool equipment

ATUBE producer in North America has invested in Thermatool equipment for a second time. This tube producer supports a wide customer base spanning from automotive to furniture markets. With success of a previous installation of a Thermatool CFI HF Welder and an Alpha Flying Shear Cutoff, the company has selected these machines again for another mill to support the growing specialty tube demand in North America. “Our advanced technologies across high frequency welders and Alpha Flying Shears gives tube and pipe producers the ability to grow and pivot into any industry or business they choose. The Thermatool CFI HF Welder will ensure that the company achieves stable weld heat input control. The patented Thermatool AutoMatch™ ensures full power output over a wide range of product sizes and stabilises HF welding frequency over the full range of diameters and wall thicknesses produced. Operators depend on the ability to provide a stable welding frequency even when experiencing changes in the weld area set up, tube OD, wall thickness and impeder

material. Thermatool’s proven HF welder provides excellent speed and power regulation and process stability throughout the mill production range. Alongside the CFI HF Welder, the Alpha Flying Shear Cutoff enables the customer to achieve high productivity, close tolerance cut lengths on the mill and optimised cutting tool life. Ideal for heavy wall, high strength tube and pipe, Alpha Flying Shears are a solution for demanding production requirements of shearing high strength tube at short cut lengths. With optimised blade life of up to 80,000 cuts on a vertical blade, there will be fewer mill stops and less open seam and scrap. The compact Alpha footprint will save factory space while achieving high mill speeds by using fully automated lubrication and batch processing controls. The Thermatool CFI HF Welder will ensure that the company achieves stable weld heat input control Uniflex releases its UVC 50 for clean air UNIFLEX has developed an external suction and filter device for cleaner air in workshops. The UVC 50, which can be used simultaneously with up to three cutting machines, is an odour-neutralising air cleaner, designed for better health in the workplace. The multi-step exhaust air purification runs with a spark stop function, cyclone filter technology for the pre-separation of coarse particles, HEPA filter for dust, particle filter for fine particles and carbon filter for odour neutralisation.
