positioning relative to the respective tube dimension; reproducible product- specific parameterisation by the machine’s control system; and special exhaust device for oil mists within the die and drawing area. In addition, Bültmann consid- ered several customer-specific criteria to supply the ideal equipment for this particular application. A successful pre-acceptance, as well as timely delivery, assem- bly and commissioning with subsequent optimal production start round up the positive completion of this project.

AS well as standard tube drawing equipment, Bültmann supplies tailor- made solutions for individual demands. This was recently the case for a German manufacturer of specialist tubes. Bültmann delivered a spe- cially designed double drawing machine for high-quality welded stainless steel tubes to the company. This equipment features the following basic details: special lubrication for tubes to be drawn with warming system ensuring a constant temperature of the lubricant, so that tube preparation before drawing can be omitted; automatic centring and mandrel inserting device for trouble-free operation; material- friendly deceleration at the end of the drawing operation
