New welding management software module provides insight into efficiency
allows production managers to identify improvement potential in processes or working methods that have an impact on welding. By applying continuous production monitoring, it is possible to increase arc-on time and shorten welding production lead times. In addition, the WeldEye for Welding Production Analysis module enables third party data connections via cloud APIs. Data input for the module is currently managed with a handheld device. For future applications, Kemppi is developing, together with Suunto, sensor technology to measure welding time based on magnetic field detection. Suunto is a specialist in sports precision instruments. This R&D cooperation focuses on the use of a small and cost-efficient battery-powered wireless sensor solution that utilises Suunto Movesense technology. In addition to the welding production analysis module, the cloud-based WeldEye offers four other software products, for welding procedure and qualification management; welding quality management; welding docu- mentation management; and welding production management.

THE universal welding management software WeldEye, compatible with any brand of welding equipment, has become more comprehensive with the introduction of WeldEye for Welding Production Analysis. The new module has been designed particularly for companies looking to benefit from a light and easy-to-set-up solution for monitoring and analysing welding production. WeldEye for Welding Production Analysis tracks and measures the arc time of welding stations, and standard times in serial production. It also provides information on the time spent on non-welding activities, with reason codes. The software’s data mining tool arranges the data into user-friendly

Molecor widens product range with launch of DN710mm oriented PVC pipe
response to water hammer and enhanced impact resistance. The water tightness, another charac- teristic of the pipes, avoids leaks that would reduce the volume of water supplied. The pipe is manufactured in diameters from DN90 to DN800mm.
The molecular orientation process is claimed to provide the TOM pipes with better mechanical and hydraulic characteristics compared to pipelines manufactured with other materials. Among these characteristics are higher hydraulic capacity, enabling the conveyance of higher volumes of water for the same diameter; lightness, for easier manipulation and installation of pipes up to DN250mm; and better
MOLECOR, a company specialised in the development of molecular orienta- tion technology applied to the manu- facture of TOM ® PVC-O pipes (oriented PVC) for the conveyance of water under pressure, has implemented in its range the new DN710mm TOM pipes PN12.5, PN16, PN20 and PN25 bar. This will increase the possibilities of network design with diameters that ensure effectiveness in the required pressure and flow.
