New systems to adjust OD and wall thickness of PO pipes

German-based iNOEX has introduced new process engineering technology for the automated change of product dimensions of PO pipes. With the push of a button, the company’s Advantage system is able to continuously adjust exterior diameters and the wall thickness of PO pipes. Within a setting and adjustment range of 1:2, the system ensures a higher productivity and flexibility in the extrusion process. Existing extrusion dies can be freely combined with Advantage, with retrofitting being possible for all extrusion lines available on the market. fi Advantage, the automated change of dimensions for the pipe extrusion process

the mixing process of raw materials directly on top of the extruder. This means that iNOEX’s multi-component dosing station igs D6 enables the manufacturer to dose silane and peroxide safely and precisely into the production process – resulting in interesting cost alternatives for the production of cross- linked pipes and cables. › Aurex, the ultrasonic measuring system for a reliable quality and documentary proof in the pipe extrusion process

The iNOEX range also includes the ultrasonic measuring system, branded aurex ERS, designed for the highly sensitive application of gas and pressure pipes. The measuring system offers a unique feature of 100 per cent wall thickness measurement and flaw detection, which leads to comprehensive safety technology in the pipe extrusion business. Gravimetric dosing stations actively lead to material savings. Even larger savings are gained when these systems are used for

Anti-tamper lock protects assets and prevents accidents By ensuring valves and actuators are only operated by authorised individuals, the Anti- Tamper Lock (ATL) from Smith Flow Control secures companies’ assets by reducing the risk of human error or deliberate tampering.

The standard condition of the ATL in service is locked (key-free), with the handwheel free rotating (the standard unit is available in two sizes to suit all lever and handwheel operated valves). Operation involves three simple steps: firstly, a coded key from the control authority is inserted, engaging the drive; secondly, the valve is operated to the desired position; finally, the key is removed and the valve is locked in the desired position. The ATL can operate in temperatures ranging from -50°C to +100°C.

The ATL can significantly reduce costs because the lock base adapter is machined to suit host equipment (which can be done on-site or supplied already machined to specification). Furthermore, as this process simply replaces existing handwheels or levers, the integrity of pressure envelopes is not compromised in any way.
