FC800 EverCool core is made of a blended CR rubber material, a synthetic characterised by its long-lasting elastic- ity, heat resistance and resistance to a number of refrigerants and compressor oils. This core tube provides greater flexibility than a corrugated hose and withstands the high mechanical stress coming from the engine. The core is covered by a polyamide barrier layer, which reduces the hose’s permeation rate to 0.5 kg/m 2 /year. The new EC007 barrier hose product joins Eaton’s GH001 veneer hose, which features nearly zero permeation, a tighter bend radius, EZ-clip compatibility and wide temperature range. Eaton’s EverCool EC007 barrier hose is the latest addition to the portfolio, intended for truck, agricultural and construction customers. Designed to reduce refrigeration loss, the hose helps minimise environmental impact from greenhouse gases as well as downtime and costs associated with needing to add refrigerant to the system. The EC007 barrier hose is constructed with a thermoplastic barrier layer between textile-reinforced elastomeric layers, with an outer cover built with a heat-, ozone- and UV-resistant synthetic elastomer. The FC800 large-bore hose is specifical- ly designed for nominal sizes required for bus air conditioning systems. The
