TIG series for manual welding Pipe welding involves absolute precision: safety, hygiene and optical requirements demand clean welding seams, which often have to be produced under time pressure. The highest output power source is the MagicWave 230i for AC welding. It can communicate with other devices using Bluetooth, WLAN and NFC technology.
No.1 IN STAINLESS STEEL PIPECLAMPS www.nibrobv.nl A multi-voltage version is available for each of the devices, allowing them to be used worldwide, even when the mains voltage differs. Fronius has also redesigned the welding torches, giving them an ergonomic grip for convenience and greater precision during handling. The built-in high-performance LED ensures efficient lighting of the weld area. Fronius International GmbH – Austria contact@fronius.com www.fronius.com to upgrade the devices with various packages of functions. For example, the job function enables the user to store up to 999 jobs at the same time; and the PulsPro package gives all of the pulse functions, additional documentation of data, and limit monitoring, helping the user to generate a defined parameter window and adhere to certain welding parameters.
The MagicWave 190 is a suitable choice when welding materials such as steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The TransTig 230i for DC welding also forms part of the new series. The welding power source is suitable for all welding applications except aluminium. Like the MagicWave 230i, the TransTig 230i is Bluetooth-, WLAN- and NFC- compatible. The multilingual operating concept of the machines with a full 4.3" graphic display makes them intuitive and easy to use. The ‘favourites’ button allows welders to access and adjust welding parameters that they use frequently. One particular advantage is the modular setup, allowing users
The user-friendly MagicWave 230i and 190 and TransTig 230i TIG welding machines from Fronius feature fast signal processors, in order to generate exact current curves, and making it possible to achieve maximum arc stability with minimum noise emissions. With intuitive menu guidance, users can find the correct welding parameters in just a few steps, allowing them to focus on their manual tasks and the creation of a clean weld seam. Whether for the construction of pipes or containers or the processing of stainless steel, the new TIG welding systems from Fronius are suitable for a large number of applications.
Audio feature added to weld cameras
Xiris has developedaweldmicrophone system that integrates into its Xiris weld camera system. Being able to use sight and sound while welding is said to improve operators’ abilities to fine-tune and monitor the welding process from a safe distance. Automation
Xiris’s weld camera system can now be enhanced with an audio feature
Xiris Automation specialises in developing optical equipment used for process and quality control across a number of industries. With an extensive product line, Xiris provides manufacturers with the ability to detect, recognise and interpret quality defects in their manufactured goods. Xiris Automation Inc – Canada
This is important for critical welding applications where the process needs to be monitored from further away, such as in a control room. The microphone system is specifically designed for the welding environment and includes the microphone, cables and a specialised signal-processing card embedded in the Xiris HMI. Additional software features include the ability to record and play back audio with the video and also equalise the audio to enhance or minimise surrounding noise.
